Insight Session – Sustainable Materials Guide to Recycling | Do Not Go Gentle

In this session, you will explore the world of recycling, the systems that are in place to recycle some of the design world’s most utilised materials as well as the challenges that are faced and the solutions that are helping to push towards a more circular economy.

Within a circular economy, one of the three main aims is to circulate products and materials at their highest value for as long as possible. This means firstly keeping products and materials in use in their original form maybe through repair or reuse, then when this is no longer possible we can repurpose, remanufacture or recycle these as raw materials or components to extend their life further.

This insight session helps you to understand different materials recycling potential, the systems we currently have in place to support this as well as the direction we are moving into in the future to improve how we capture the potential of materials.
