There are so many great conscious fashion events that it can be difficult to keep an overview. But no worries, we got your back! Every first day of the month we publish our conscious calendar with workshops, masterclasses and events about conscious fashion. We will list them for you so you don’t have to search for events yourself anymore. You can find the whole calendar here. In this article we highlight some of our favorite events of the months October and November.

Responsible Fashion Series – MoMu Antwerp

20 October till 22 October 2021

The University of Antwerp, in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, MoMu, Antwerp Management School and with the support of the City of Antwerp and Visit Flanders – will be presenting The Responsible Fashion Series, one of the most important international conferences that brings together the largest fashion institutes in the world. There will be a varied program, online as well as offline with presentations, interviews about can fashion save the world?

ARANYA CRAFT x RAHEMUR RAHMAN: Patching stories through stitches

21 October 2021

This online workshop is part of a Fashion Open Studio programme in partnership with the British Council’s The Climate Connection global programme and campaign. Nine designers from across the world have been selected in response to the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP26 themes of Adaptation and Resilience and Nature.

During this workshop you will  stitch and repair your old garments while watching films about Rahemur Rahman’s new patchwork artisanal textiles made from archival production waste by Aranya. There’s more to the event: you will meet the designer and the artisans behind the textile’s production, as well as a special guest who will speak about the brand’s new conservation project with Aranya, Bengal Craft Society, and the Creative Conservation Alliance.

Climate March: 

6 November 2021

The climate is in crisis. People are increasingly affected by wildfires, floodings and food shortages. Yet, the Dutch government has done far too little to protect people in- and outside of the Netherlands. That’s why take to the streets of Amsterdam on November 6th, for what’s looking to be the biggest climate protest that this country has seen so far. Join them!

FASHIONCLASH Festival

26 November till 28 November 2021

During the 3-day hybrid festival, a new generation of designers and performing artists from all over the world are given the opportunity to show their work to a broad (inter)national audience. The program with exhibitions, fashion and theatre performances, talks, workshops and film screenings showcases projects that explore, contextualize and celebrate contemporary fashion culture.
